An addiction to drugs or alcohol is something that no person ever asks for or wants in their life. There is no rational person that would wake up every morning and decide that they want to ruin their lives by consuming their drug or drink of choice. However, this is one of the confounding aspects of addiction. If you wake up day after day with the hope that today will be the day that you can finally break free of your addiction yet each day you are left with feelings of disappointment, then it’s imperative that you reach out to an addiction treatment center that will provide you with the help and the resources that you need to finally tackle this disease once and for all.

In order to truly make the most out of your time in treatment, it’s critical that you partner with a facility and a recovery team that helps you to feel comfortable. There are several steps that you can take to ensure that this happens. Some examples of what you should do when you’re considering your options for treatment centers include:

Do Your Research

One of the best things that you can do is to do research on some of the facilities that you’re considering. A good place to start is by taking a look at the website for the facility, taking a look at pictures, and reading through the testimonials of clients that have completed a treatment program there in the past. From there, you should plan to reach out to the intake team. If you reach out to The Source, you will find that our intake team is available around the clock to assist you. We understand that the decision to overcome addiction doesn’t always come between the normal 9 AM to 5 PM business hours which is why we believe it’s imperative to always be available to our potential clients. We can answer any questions that you have during this initial phone call to ensure that you feel comfortable and confident with your decision to come to The Source.

If you or a loved one are struggling with addiction, call The Source today.  Our treatment specialists are available 24/7 to discuss your options and help you find the perfect solution (800) 204-0418.

Ask About Insurance

One of the concerns among many of the people that reach out to The Source revolves around the cost associated with their time in treatment. Each treatment plan that we put together is individually designed for that client which means that it’s impossible to predict the exact cost of your treatment program until you reach out to us. However, if you have private insurance, there is a possibility that your insurance coverage may cover most of if not all of your time in addiction treatment. If you have private insurance, it’s important that you let our treatment team know when you initially reach out to you so that we can help you to determine the terms of your coverage. This is also something that you can do before you reach out to us either on your own or with the help of a friend or family member.

Located in beautiful Fort Lauderdale, Florida, The Source Treatment Center team always goes the extra mile to ensure that you have the care and support that you need to tackle your addiction. We have worked with countless Cincinnati residents in helping them to put together a treatment plan that helps them to address their addiction once and for all.

Something that we always recommend for every client is that they approach treatment with an open mind. This is something that can be challenging at times due in large part to the fact that you will hear certain things during the course of your treatment that you may have never heard before and may not always feel comfortable with. Addiction treatment is something that can open an abundance of doors to you in your life, however, the process will take work and it is not something that will happen overnight. Recovery is a journey but it is one that you can count on our team to help you with.

What Do You Do During Rehab?

The focus of your time in drug rehab in Cincinnati will be spent on determining the root cause of your addiction. The main way that this is done is through participating in different forms of therapy. Although therapy is something that can feel awkward or uncomfortable at times, it’s critical in helping you to address the different triggers that may be negatively impacting your sobriety. Examples of therapy that you will participate in during your time in treatment include:

  • Individual therapy
  • Family therapy
  • Group therapy
  • Trauma-based therapy
  • Behavioral therapy

What Does the Average Day Look Like While in Rehab?

It’s important to remember that your treatment program may look very different from the treatment plan of any person. The reason for that is that addiction is a disease that impacts every person differently. As a result, it’s critical that you have your own individualized treatment plan. This is something that we offer to every client that comes to The Source. Regardless of whether you decide to commit to a partial hospitalization program or an outpatient treatment plan, your day will be filled with a combination of participating in different forms of therapy as well as downtime so that you can simply rest or reflect on what you learned that day. If you opt to commit to our outpatient program, you will be able to come and go from our treatment center according to your unique schedule.

Inpatient Alcohol & Drug Rehab

If you’re lost in the spiral of addiction and you feel as though you can’t break free because of the environment around you, then it’s time for you to make the choice to remove yourself from that environment for a period of time. When you commit to a partial hospitalization program, that is exactly what you will be able to do. There are many people who are unable to truly establish let alone maintain their sobriety due to their surroundings. For example, if you have a family member or a close friend that is struggling with their own addiction, then you may find it difficult to focus on your own sobriety. A partial hospitalization program in alcohol rehab in Cincinnati provides you with this opportunity.

Outpatient Alcohol & Drug Rehab

Outpatient programs are beneficial for a number of reasons. There are many people that simply don’t feel comfortable committing to the structure that comes with a partial hospitalization program. They feel as though they need some level of freedom and when they don’t have it, they may revert back to their addictive ways.

A general outpatient program is also a great option in other situations. For instance, if you recently completed a partial hospitalization program or an intensive outpatient program, you may find that a general outpatient program provides you with the continued level of support that you need in the upcoming days and months of your sobriety journey. Also, if you have a full-time job or you’re going to school full time, you may find it all but impossible to commit to any other type of treatment plan.

The general outpatient program at The Source is our most flexible treatment option. General outpatient program clients are required to complete a minimum of four hours of therapeutic treatment per week. One of those hours will be dedicated to individual therapy and the remaining three will be spent in group therapy.

Group therapy is a main form of therapy regardless of the treatment program that you commit to. During group therapy, you will have the opportunity to interact with others that are working through their own treatment program by sharing your experiences of addiction and recovery and listening to the experiences of other people that are in your group. Group therapy can not only provide you with a certain sense of healing but it’s something that can make you feel not as alone when it comes to emotions that you may be feeling. You may come to find that you develop personal relationships with other people that are in your group which is something that can help you to further build up your system of support.

If you or a loved one are struggling with addiction, call The Source today.  Our treatment specialists are available 24/7 to discuss your options and help you find the perfect solution (800) 204-0418.

Intensive Outpatient Alcohol & Drug Rehab

An intensive outpatient program at The Source is a step up from a general outpatient program but a step down from a partial hospitalization program. Whereas a general outpatient program requires that you spend a minimum of four hours in treatment, an intensive outpatient program requires that you spend at least nine. This is an ideal option if you happen to work part-time or you’re transitioning out of a partial hospitalization program. If your schedule changes during your time in treatment, simply let our team know and we will make any adjustments that you need.

Partial Hospitalization Alcohol & Drug Rehab

A partial hospitalization program through The Source provides you with the perfect environment that you need to truly overcome your addiction to drugs or alcohol once and for all. A person that commits to a partial hospitalization program will have the benefit of living in one of our beautiful single-family residences which is located in beautiful Fort Lauderdale. Not only will this environment provide you with a home away from home type of feeling but it’s within close proximity to the Fort Lauderdale beach as well as other sober-friendly amenities. One of the leading benefits of a partial hospitalization program is the fact that you will have around-the-clock access to your treatment team which is something that can serve as a wonderful comfort. In addition to the access that you have to your treatment team, you will also be able to interact with other people that are working through their own recovery program. This type of interaction can make you feel not so alone during this stage of your recovery journey. Developing these types of relationships can also help you to remain focused on your overall goals for your addiction treatment.

Our partial hospitalization program requires that you make a commitment not only to living in one of our single-family residences but also to actively and honestly participate in a minimum of 25 hours of therapeutic care per week. While this may sound like a substantial amount of time, you can rest assured that you will have plenty of downtimes which will help you to recover and relax. If there is anything that you feel would make your time in treatment more successful, just let our treatment team know and we will do everything that we can to accommodate your request.

Brain-Mapping or Neurofeedback Treatment for Addiction

Our addiction experts are up to date with the latest progressive treatment options to address your addiction. This is one of the reasons why they offer the option of brain-mapping or neurofeedback treatment. If a person is struggling from addiction, there is a possibility that they may also be struggling with an issue when it comes to their brain wave response. Brain-mapping or neurofeedback treatment can identify any brainwave issues and work to address them.

It’s key to note that brain-mapping or neurofeedback treatment is not the ultimate answer to overcoming addiction. Instead, this is an example of treatment that should always be incorporated into a higher level of care. If you aren’t participating in treatment or taking advantage of the guidance that your treatment team is offering and only relying on brain-mapping or neurofeedback treatment, there is a greater chance that you will relapse.

Benefits of Family Therapy

It’s no secret that addiction can have a severe impact not only on your life but on the life of the people that you hold dear. Your actions during the time that you’re in active addiction can influence the type of relationship that your loved ones have with you. It’s painful for your family to watch you harm yourself during the time that you’re struggling with addiction. Although they may try to do everything that they can to help you, they feel frustrated and sad that there isn’t anything that they can do for you until you are ready to accept the help. As a result, you may come to find that they take steps back from having a relationship with you which can cause you further sadness.

Family therapy gives you the opportunity to redevelop the relationship that you had with your family members. This form of therapy may not take place right away. Instead, it will only happen when you feel as though you’ve come to a place in your recovery where you feel that you can manage this type of interaction. Keep in mind that it’s possible that your loved ones may have some of their own frustrations or pain that they may need to discuss with you. However, once you’re able to heal as a family unit, then you will likely feel a sense of comfort and motivation to continue on your recovery journey.

At The Source, we can arrange for your family members to remain apprised of the progress that you are making regarding your addiction treatment. We will also provide you and your loved ones with the neutral and relaxed environment that all of you need to address the issues that may be holding you back from re-establishing your relationship with them.

One on One Therapy

One-on-one therapy, also known as individual therapy, gives you the opportunity to connect with your treatment team on a more personal level. There are likely certain events in your life that you don’t yet feel comfortable sharing in a group setting. Although you will always be encouraged to share, you may feel more at ease if you make the decision to first go through these events in individual therapy and then progressively open up more about those events to the group.

Individual therapy also provides you with an excellent opportunity to review your current treatment plan with your team. There may be certain forms of therapy that you feel more comfortable with or you may feel as though you’re struggling with a certain aspect of your addiction recovery. To ensure that you continue to make the most out of your treatment program, checking in with your team regularly through individual therapy is definitely a necessity.

Types of Trauma Based Addiction Treatment Therapy for Residents of Cincinnati

It’s important to understand that trauma comes in many different shapes and forms. For example, it’s always possible that a person may experience some type of trauma in their childhood. If a person came from an abusive household and did not receive the proper psychological support that they needed as they got older, they may turn to drugs or alcohol as a way to cope with the scars that other people may not see. There is always the chance that a person could experience trauma as they get older. For instance, if you were the first responder or you were in the military and experienced different gruesome events, you may come to find that having a drink or taking a substance to numb yourself to these occurrences becomes more and more common. As a result, your addiction begins to grow to the point where it spirals out of control.

The Source Treatment Center offers several different types of trauma-based therapy which revolve around where you are in your addiction treatment. We will review with you the details of these treatment options in greater detail once we begin to help you plan out your treatment plan, however, here is a brief overview of the different forms of addiction therapy that we offer at our facility. Keep in mind that our team will go into further details regarding these therapy options once you begin your recovery program.

Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR) Therapy

TIR, or trauma incident reduction therapy, takes place in a one-on-one type of setting and is known as one of the most successful forms of addiction therapy. These therapy sessions will generally take place once a week for 60 or 90 minutes at a time. The number of sessions that you will need for this type of treatment to be effective will be unknown until you get into a continuous treatment pattern and it will also be based on your specific treatment needs. This treatment option is ideal for a person that may be suffering from depression, anxiety, or PTSD.

Rapid Resolution Therapy (RRT) Treatment

Rapid resolution therapy, RRT, is an excellent treatment option for a person who is ready to jump right into the treatment face of things. The entire treatment plan consists of participating in anywhere from two to six sessions, however, you may need more or less depending on your addiction and the contributing factors to it. The goal of this form of therapy, similar to other trauma treatments, is to minimize the extent of the trauma so that you can begin to work through these negative feelings in a healthy way.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy

If you struggle with anxiety and depression, you may feel scared or worried about reliving certain memories that may have impacted your addiction. Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy, also known as EMDR, can help clients who suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder. Your therapist will gently guide your eye movements as you recall these traumatic events. Over time, you will be able to develop the tools that you need to compartmentalize these memories so that they are not as painful.

Sober Friendly Attractions Near Cincinnati

Getting back into the swing of normal life is something that can be incredibly exciting once you complete your addiction treatment program. Although you may be excited to jump right back into your normal routine, it’s critical that you do so with caution. Taking on too much too fast can torpedo the plan that you have for recovery. A good rule of thumb is to plan to locate and attend Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous meetings when you get back home. You will notice that the format of these meetings closely follows the model of group therapy. During AA or NA meetings, you will have the opportunity to share more about your time in recovery and the steps that you are taking to maintain your sobriety. You will also listen to the experience of other people who are navigating their own recovery. You may come to find that you can develop a system of support through making connections with other people that are also attending meetings.

Once you feel comfortable, you can begin to explore some of the sober-friendly attractions that are in and around Cincinnati. One of the great things about taking advantage of seeing some of these attractions is the fact that you can opt to do this on your own or you can invite sober friends and family members to come along for the adventure. If you’re ready to start making plans, here are some options that you may want to consider:
