Detox

Welcome to The Source Addiction Treatment Center & Our Exclusive Drug and Alcohol Detox Program

For many people, detox is the first step in the process of recovering from addiction. An inpatient medical detox is always recommended rather than going about it on your own. When a substance the body has become dependent on is removed, it can cause many physical and psychological withdrawal symptoms that require medical supervision. The body reacts negatively causing headaches, vomiting, fevers, and other symptoms that can even be life-threatening. Inpatient detox can make the process far safer, more effective, and easier to go through with 24-hour nursing care.

Drug and Alcohol Detox Partners

The Source Treatment Center offers a wide variety of recovery programs however, we do not provide in-house detox. Part of our mission is to find a place for everyone who reaches out for help, including recommending another high-quality partner that may be a better fit or that offers a needed program that we don’t provide. Detox is an important step on the road to recovery, so we have chosen a select few, high-quality detox partners to work with who offer both in-network and out-of-network insurance plans.

Detox partners that have been vetted by The Source need to meet very specific criteria. The Source staff must first personally tour the facilities, meet the staff, and thoroughly go over the details of their programs. The facility must meet standards in the areas of environment, their clinical approach, and must share the same principles as The Source – treating every client like family and ensuring that no one is ever over-sold or lied to. The program itself needs to offer group therapy sessions, access to a primary therapist, have a holistic approach, and not over-medicate patients.

Simply put, at The Source we only recommend detox facilities that we would send our families to. We look for partners who maintain excellent open communication and who allow someone from The Source to be able to visit patients at any time in the event they feel uneasy, uncomfortable, or have any doubts at all. The facilities must have complete transparency and open communication with The Source. We want to assure that anyone who contacts The Source receives the personalized and best care they deserve.

Transition Out of Medical Detox

One frequently asked question is regarding transportation, how a person will transition from home to detox and from detox to The Source. The Source provides and coordinates transportation and helps facilitate the entire process smoothly.

It’s important to remember that medical detox is just the first step in the overall treatment process, it does not treat the underlying behavioral, environmental, or genetic causes of addiction. Once medically stable, you can transition into one of The Source’s comprehensive treatment programs.
