Addiction Treatment That Gets to the Root Core of Addiction
With years of industry experience, the team at The Source recognizes the fact that clients that come to our facility often fall into two categories. The first are clients that have no idea what may have happened in their life to trigger their addiction. They may not have an idea for many reasons. First, this traumatic event may be something that is simply too painful to consciously remember and, as a result, they have tried to block the event. Although this could seemingly happen in any situation, it seems to happen more often than not if a person sustained a traumatic event during their childhood.
There are several other clients that have a general idea of the traumatic event that impacted their life but they never received the care that they need to work through the emotions that they may feel as a result. Trauma-based treatment combined with traditional forms of therapy can help a client to better understand the impact of these events in their life, and how they may have led to their overall addiction.
At The Source, we offer several different types of treatment plans that will help you to heal from addiction. When possible, we will always recommend that you take advantage of our partial hospitalization program. Our partial hospitalization program clients will have the benefit of living in one of our beautiful single-family residences and unlimited access to our team of addiction experts. Partial hospitalization clients can expect to spend a minimum of 25-hours per week in treatment with their overall program lasting anywhere between 30 to 90-days. Keep in mind that it’s possible that you may need to begin your recovery journey in detox before you transition into a treatment program which will last approximately one week.
If you’re unable to commit to a partial hospitalization program or opioid rehab in Scranton, we also offer the option of a general outpatient program as well as an intensive outpatient program. These program options are ideal for clients who have to go to work or school but still recognize the fact that they need to receive treatment for their substance abuse issue. It’s critical that you provide our treatment team with a full breakdown of your current responsibilities so that we can help you to determine which treatment option is best for you.
For example, if you have a part time job or limited school hours, you may find that an intensive outpatient program is ideal for you. Intensive outpatient program clients will need to spend a minimum of 9 hours per week in treatment. However, if you have a full time job or more time consuming responsibilities, it may be better for you to enroll in our general outpatient program which only requires a minimum of four hours per week of care. Both programs will focus not only on working through the traumas in your life but also teach you certain relapse prevention tools that will help you to remain sober after treatment.
What is Trauma Based Therapy Like?
Trauma-based therapy will help you to address the traumatic events in your life that may have contributed to your addiction. At The Source, we provide you with a multitude of options when it comes to this form of therapy. One of the aspects of our recovery treatment plans that help us to stand out among other treatment facilities is the fact that we take the time to get to learn more about you and your addiction so that we can pair you with not only the right treatment program but the right forms of therapy that will help you to truly overcome your addiction.
It’s important to remember that trauma therapy may cause you to feel uncomfortable at times. However, when you come to The Source, you can count on our team to do everything that we can to help you to address these events in your life in such a way so that you don’t become more scared by them.
