What Is Inpatient Drug Rehab?

There are many people that are unable to overcome their addiction to drugs because of their circumstances. Perhaps they live with a person who is suffering from their own drug addiction. Maybe they have friends or family members that don’t believe or understand that addiction is a disease. If you fall into this category, then it’s strongly recommended that you commit to changing your environment and working through a partial hospitalization program. Removing yourself from a toxic situation for a period of time can be exactly what you need in order for you to overcome your addiction once and for all.

How Long Does Rehab Take?

Part of the personalized recovery program entails deciding the duration of your treatment program. It’s important to remember that the length of your treatment program is separate and apart from the time that you may need to spend in a drug detox in Austin. If you do need to start your recovery program in detox, you will need to spend approximately seven days in a withdrawal program. At that point, you will be in a better frame of mind both physically and psychologically to actively participate in treatment for the next 30, 60, or 90-days.

When making the decision regarding the length of your treatment program, there are several things that you should keep in mind. You may want to consider any restrictions that you may have when it comes to personal or professional responsibilities. One of the best things about working with The Source team is the fact that we continuously check in with you during the course of your recovery. If you are nearing the end of your initial 30-day program, you will have the chance to extend that program by an additional 30 or 60 days. Don’t forget, you can also transition into a step-down program. For example, if you decide to commit to a 30-day partial hospitalization program, you can then transition into a general outpatient program or an intensive outpatient program.

What Is Outpatient Rehab?

Do you have a full-time job? Maybe you are in the middle of a semester at school? Just because you have to maintain these important responsibilities in your life doesn’t mean that you can’t commit to a treatment program. An outpatient drug rehab gives you the flexibility that you need to work through a recovery program. Clients that decide to work through an outpatient program will need to participate in a minimum of four hours of therapy per week. Three of those hours will be in group therapy and one of those hours will be individual therapy.

Group therapy is similar to a Narcotic Anonymous in many ways. During group therapy, you will interact with other clients that are working through their own treatment plans. Through sharing and listening to their experiences, you will be able to make connections with other members of your group which will help you to develop your own system of support. This is an invaluable tool in your overall recovery and it’s something that can help to reaffirm your decision that you’re making the right choices when it comes to your path in recovery.

An intensive outpatient program is slightly different from a general outpatient program in the sense that you will need to commit to a minimum of nine hours of treatment per week in order to successfully complete this program. You will still take part in the same forms of therapy as our general outpatient program clients. Counseling that you will receive includes group therapy, individual therapy, behavioral therapy, family therapy, and trauma therapies. Our intake team will be able to provide you with more information regarding the types of therapy that we offer at our Fort Lauderdale-based treatment center.

A partial hospitalization program is the most structured treatment plan that we offer at The Source. Clients that decide to commit to a partial hospitalization program will spend a minimum of 25 hours per week in therapy. During the time that you aren’t taking part in therapy, you will be able to enjoy some of the luxurious amenities that our single-family residences have to offer. Each one of these dwellings is within close proximity to the beach as well as 12 step meetings that are local to the area. Is there something that we can do to make your time in our partial hospitalization program more successful? Just let us know and we will do everything that we can to accommodate.
