Women face a tremendous amount of stress and pressure in their everyday life. In many ways, women tend to be the component of their family that holds everything together. They are either the main breadwinners in their family or they may be the homemaker that makes sure that everything is seen and everyone is cared for throughout the day.  However, when addiction takes hold of their life, a woman won’t be able to see these important responsibilities and may find that their life is spiraling out of control.

The Source Treatment Center is a Fort Lauderdale-based facility that offers women not only from the Portsmouth area but throughout the United States the opportunity to work through the contributing factors of their addiction.

Why Choose a Woman’s Focused Rehab?

It’s critical that you take the time to consider which treatment program is right for you. The best way for you to do this is through speaking with the team at The Source who can provide you with more information about the details associated with not only the different types of treatment that you can expect to experience during your time in treatment but also with an overview of the types of therapy that you will participate in. Examples of therapy that we offer at The Source includes:

  • Group therapy
  • Individual therapy
  • Trauma-based therapy
  • Behavioral therapy
  • Family therapy

Rehab for Expecting Mothers

Finding out that you’re pregnant should be one of the happiest and most exciting times in your life. However, when you’re suffering from an addiction to drugs or alcohol, this feeling of elation can quickly change to feelings of dread and fear. At The Source, we can help you to put together a treatment program that will help you to recover from the impact of addiction so that you can be better for your unborn child.

If you find yourself in this position, then we will recommend that you take advantage of our partial hospitalization program. When you commit to partial hospitalization, you will live in one of our beautiful single-family residences located within close proximity to the incredible Fort Lauderdale beach. You will have the comfort of knowing that you and your growing child is safe and secure in a sober environment with unlimited and around-the-clock access to our treatment team. We will set you up with a home away from home so that you can focus on holistic healing and become a better person for your little one.

Rehab for Women with Children

We also receive phone calls on a regular basis from women that have families and children that depend on them to be there for them every day. As a result, it would be impossible for a woman in this position to commit to a partial hospitalization program. Therefore, we will encourage you to consider committing to one of our two outpatient treatment plans. Unlike our partial hospitalization program which requires you to participate in a minimum of 25 hours of therapy each week, an intensive outpatient program comes with a requirement of just nine hours of therapy each week while our general outpatient program requires a minimum of four.

Although there is always a focus on relapse prevention during any treatment plan, this will be particularly true during an outpatient program because a woman in an outpatient program will have to face real-life temptation every day. It’s also recommended that a woman make the time to attend 12-step meetings during the course of their treatment to receive an additional boost of support and reassurance that she is making the right decision for her life.

Benefits of a Women’s Only Program

There are several benefits of choosing to work through a program that has a special focus on a woman’s needs and health. Here are some examples of why it may be advantageous to you to come to this type of program:

High Chance of Recovery

When a woman can experience a treatment program that is personalized and specific to them, they have a higher possibility of completing their program. At The Source, we do everything that we can to provide you with the tools, resources, and support that you need to face your addiction head-on so that you’re able to understand and receive the true benefit that comes along with the recovery process.

Attention To Your Physical Health

It should come as no surprise that addiction to drugs or alcohol can have a direct and lasting impact on your overall health. When you come to The Source for treatment, we focus on helping you to develop a holistic treatment plan that will address any physical ailments that you may have. When you reach out to our intake team, we will begin the process of putting together a complete physical workup of you so that we can determine to what extent addiction has affected you.

Peace of Mind

If you were physically or psychologically harmed by a man, you may find it difficult to talk about certain aspects of your life in the presence or with a man toward the beginning of your treatment program. Being surrounded by women in a safe environment can help you to feel more relaxed and comfortable sharing about the traumatic experiences in your life.

From the moment that you reach out to The Source Treatment Center and avail of our trauma-based rehab, you can take comfort in the fact that our team will go above and beyond to ensure that you have every resource available to you during the course of your recovery journey. We understand the impact that addiction can have on any life, but particularly for women who may have personal or professional responsibilities that they are grappling with.
