In many cases, it may take a person several years to come to the realization that they are suffering from an addiction to drugs or alcohol. This can result in a person losing those years of their life to addiction. However, when you are sick and tired of the negative consequences that come along with addiction, you can then begin to focus on the steps that you can take toward your sobriety and health.

What to Expect During Intensive Outpatient Rehab

The focus of your time in intensive outpatient rehab will be to identify the events in your life that may have contributed to your addiction. At The Source, we help our clients to focus on addressing the traumas in their life that played a factor in their addiction. For example, if you were abused as a child or you were psychologically abused by someone that you loved when you got older, then it’s possible that you may turn to drugs or alcohol in order to cope with the impact of this experience. By taking part in therapy, you will learn how to process these different experiences in a healthier way. Here are some examples of the type of therapy that you will participate in during your time in our intensive outpatient program:

Group Therapy

Group therapy will be the main form of counseling during an intensive outpatient program. The reason for this is that it allows you to interact with other clients who are in the midst of working through their own treatment journey. You will also have the opportunity to share more about your experiences which can allow you to heal from them.

Trauma-Based Therapy

Trauma-based therapy provides clients with an individualized focus on working through the trauma that they experienced during their life. We offer many different types of therapy at The Source so you will work closely with your treatment team to determine which one fits best for you.

During your time in treatment, you will also likely participate in individual therapy and family therapy. The combination of all of these counseling options will only help you to recover on a holistic level.

How Much Does Rehab Cost?

If you have never been to addiction treatment before, then you may not realize that your treatment plan will be individualized to suit your needs. As a result, it would be impossible to know exactly how much your treatment plan will cost ahead of time because the cost of your program will be based on the level of care that you need. For example, if you decide to spend a longer period of time in treatment, then it’s likely that your treatment plan will cost more in comparison to a person that may be working through a short-term treatment program.

Does Insurance Cover IOP Rehab?

Are you concerned about finances and the overall cost of your recovery plan? If the answer is yes then you wouldn’t be alone. However, it’s important to remember that The Source currently accepts several different insurance coverages which can help you to offset or eliminate any out-of-pocket cost of care to you. Keep in mind that your insurance coverage will likely be different and unique to you. That means that your insurance provider may limit the number of days that you can spend in treatment or you may not be able to work through a treatment plan at The Source if you recently completed another program at another facility. If you need help in working through the details of your insurance, please let us know so that we can assist you.

What is the Difference Between Inpatient and Outpatient?

Once you have made the decision that you need addiction treatment, the next important decision that you will need to make is whether you are going to work through a partial hospitalization program or an outpatient program. While our intake team can provide you with more information about the unique traits between the different treatment programs, here is a brief overview of each one:

Partial hospitalization program

During a partial hospitalization program, you will have the opportunity to live in one of our beautiful single-family residences which is in close proximity to the incredible Fort Lauderdale beach. Not only will you be able to enjoy our incredible accommodations but you will also have unlimited access to your treatment team any time you need them. You will need to complete a minimum of 25 therapeutic hours of treatment per week and still have free time to enjoy your surroundings.

Intensive outpatient program

An intensive outpatient program is less restrictive than a partial hospitalization program, however, you will still receive the high level of care that our treatment facility is known for. IOP clients will need to spend a minimum of nine hours per week in therapy but will have the flexibility to come and go from our location around their treatment schedule.

General outpatient program

If you can’t make the commitment to an intensive outpatient program, then you still may be an ideal candidate for our general outpatient program. Our general outpatient program requires at least four hours of treatment per week and is the perfect option for a client that may be working or going to school full time. You will mainly participate in group therapy and individual therapy, however, you will have exposure to other forms of therapy as needed.
