Mark Korcok has been a Fort Lauderdale resident for over 40 years. Earlier in his career Mr. Korcok was responsible for building several nationally recognized financial service companies. After being treated for his own addictions, Mark discovered his passion for helping other addicts and the idea for The Source was born. Mark envisions The Source as a holistic, up-scale and exclusive Addiction Treatment Center where the recovering individual is treated with respect and dignity. He believes that treatment for each client must be compassionate, personalized and focused on the individuals specific needs.
Joanna Painton-Hathaway received a Master’s Degree in mental health counseling from Capella University. As a registered mental health counselor intern and a Master Certified Addiction Professional (MCAP) she is a highly skilled and qualified therapist. Whether the addiction is food, narcotics or alcohol, she has a keen understanding of the intrinsic needs of her clients. Ms. Painton-Hathaway has been in addiction recovery since 1994. She is an active member of the South Florida recovery community and her own experiences with addiction allow for a unique insight and level of compassion with clients.
Wayne Brown obtained his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from the University of Toronto and his Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) degree from Florida International University. Among his certifications, Wayne is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Certified Addiction Professional (CAP), and a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist (CHT). Wayne has been providing clinical services and serving as an Adjunct Professor at Everest University for the past 15 years. Wayne has also completed intensive training in Clinical Hypnotherapy with Rapid Trauma Resolution Wayne has extensive work experience in all aspects of addiction therapy.
Edwin comes to The Source with nearly 20 years of experience in the field of addiction counselling. His experience includes positions as both a Clinical Director and Program director in addiction treatment. He holds an MA in Christian Counselling which he earned at the Jacksonville Theological Seminary. In addition to his Seminary credentials, Edwin is a Certified Addiction Professional (CAP), an Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counsellor (ICADC) and has a Master Addiction Counsellor endorsement. Edwin brings his specialized experience as a Group Facilitator to The Source as he leads numerous process group sessions. Clients naturally gravitate to him and his easy-going demeanor allow his clients to open up and discuss their thoughts and emotions in a meaningful way.
Lia S. Brooks is a MSW and LCSW and is truly an asset to The Source. Lia received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Florida International University in Miami, Florida. She comes to us with extensive experience in providing Substance Abuse Therapy along with Relapse Prevention, CBT, Cognitive Remediation therapy, person focused therapy, psychoeducation, family intervention, social skills training and assertive community treatment to the severe and persistently ill population. Lia is well known and appreciated for her endless energy when working with clients to develop individualized treatment plans.
Bill Rodman is a seasoned marketing and business professional with an extensive managerial and business development background and is one of the founders of The Source Treatment Center. Having been through his own journey and experience with addiction, Bill combines his passion to help those in need with his other responsibilities at The Source. His goal is to bring treatment professionals together to foster teamwork and growth within the industry. “Working for The Source does not feel like work. It’s like being a part of a family with one common goal,” says Bill.
Susan Neece is an art therapist with over 25 years of experience providing clinical services to people of all ages and from a variety of backgrounds. She earned an M.A. in Expressive Therapies from the University of Louisville. Susan has provided individual psychotherapy and designed an art therapy program where she leads groups of those struggling with addiction and mental health issues in a variety of private and community settings. Susan is a highly progressive thinker who believes that art expression promotes insight into thoughts, feelings and actions thus opening doors into personal connections. Susan has a gift for helping her clients in awakening creativity, healing from trauma and understanding family dynamics. She is a lifelong learner and feels privileged to contribute to the recovery of the people she works with as a therapist.
Randy comes to the Source with more than 20 years of business and management experience. He has a specialty in leading and motivating teams in a multitude of corporate environments. Randy is also a Marine Corps Combat vet having served in Desert Storm and in Somalia as a Crew Chief/Gunner on CH- 46 Helicopters. His own experiences with addiction and recovery have ignited his passion for helping sick and suffering addicts. Randy now focuses his experience and his easy-going demeanor assisting new clients at The Source. He states that We have a saying around here; People do not come to the Source for treatment, they come for healing and to be a part of a family”
Natashia, a proud American Indian was born and raised in Fairmont, North Carolina. She and her family have been South Florida residents since 2015. In addition to overcoming her own addiction issues, Ms. Smiling has gained extensive knowledge working with hundreds of sick and suffering alcoholics and addicts in nearly every stage of recovery. Ms. Smiling has a driven passion for assisting the sick and suffering to reach the next level of recovery. She is especially known for her compassion and individualized attention to those affected by the disease of alcoholism and addiction.
