If you have work or school responsibilities or if you have already completed a partial hospitalization program and you still want to continue on in your recovery journey, you may be the perfect candidate for an intensive inpatient program. In comparison to the 25 hours a week of therapy that is offered through a partial hospitalization program, an intensive outpatient program only requires nine hours which can help to make this program more manageable.

What to Expect During Intensive Outpatient Rehab

Your intensive outpatient rehab program will revolve around uncovering and addressing the root causes of your addiction. Many people have a clear understanding of the trauma that may have triggered their addiction. There are many other people that may have no idea. Our team has experience in helping clients that fall into both categories. We utilize a variety of different therapeutic tactics that will help you to work through the traumas that you have experienced during your life and heal from them.

One of the main forms of therapy that you will experience during intensive outpatient treatment is group therapy. Group therapy is similar to an NA or an AA meeting in the sense that you will have the chance to share your experiences regarding addiction, recovery, and sobriety. Through actively participating in this form of therapy you will come to find that there are other people that are in your group that may have had similar experiences. This can help you to make connections and develop a system of support that you can turn to during difficult times. In turn, you can also be a support for a friend in their moments of difficulty.

How Much Does Rehab Cost?

One of the most common questions that we receive at our intensive outpatient rehab revolves around the cost that is associated with a treatment plan at The Source. The question varies depending on the severity of your addiction and the treatment plan that you select. For instance, if you decide to commit to a longer recovery program then the cost of your treatment plan will be longer in comparison to someone who commits to a shorter recovery program.

At The Source, we believe that every person who truly wants to overcome their addiction should have the opportunity to do so. Therefore, if you have concerns regarding the cost of your treatment plan, we encourage you to let us know so that we can work with you to try to put together a recovery program that suits your needs both physically and financially.

Does Insurance Cover IOP Rehab?

Remember, if you have private insurance, it’s possible that your entire stay in intensive outpatient treatment may be 100% covered. The answer of whether or not your time in IOP is covered through your insurance provider is dependent on the type of insurance that you have. For instance, there are many insurance plans that will completely cover an IOP while there are several others that may charge you a co-pay. There are other insurance plans that will limit the number of days that you can spend in treatment while there are others that may restrict your program if you were in a treatment program at another facility.

There are several ways that you can learn what type of coverage that you have. The most direct way is to reach out to the insurance company on your own and ask. However, depending on the severity of your addiction, this may not be a viable option. If you find yourself in this type of position, you can always ask your friends or a loved one to assist you. Remember, The Source Treatment Center team can always assist you in this part of the process if needed.

What is the Difference Between Inpatient and Outpatient?

Before you make the decision as to whether or not an intensive outpatient program is for you, it’s important that you understand the unique distinctions regarding these two treatment options. During a partial hospitalization program, you will change the environment around you by living in one of our beautiful single-family residences which are close to Fort Lauderdale Beach. You will take part in therapy throughout the week while still having downtime to enjoy the amenities that this type of environment has to offer.

An outpatient program, on the other hand, is much more flexible which may seem more attractive to a person that may not feel completely comfortable with the overall premise of a partial hospitalization program. There is also less of an hourly therapeutic commitment per week and you will be able to live off-campus during the course of your treatment. We recommend that you take advantage of speaking with a member of our intake team about the differences between these program options so that you can make the best choice for yourself.
