Trauma is something that can have a lasting and undeniable mark on a person’s life. If a person is unable to manage the impact of trauma in their life in a healthy way, then it’s highly probable that they may turn to other unhealthy things in order to cope. For instance, having a drink or consuming a certain substance can make a person feel as though they can better manage what they are thinking or feeling. Addiction Treatment That Gets to the Root Core of Addiction
In order for you to truly heal holistically from addiction is to identify and address the root cause of this terrible disease. The reason behind the development of an addiction to drugs or alcohol is different for every person. There are many people that come to The Source who have been involved in a traumatic event that took place during the time that they were a first responder or serving in the military. Many other people experience an event that made a lasting impact on them and because they did not receive the proper psychological treatment after the event they weren’t able to completely heal from it.
Unfortunately, one of the reasons why so many are afraid of treatment is because they are afraid to address the root cause of their disease. Part of the reason why The Source Treatment Center is such a trusted name in the recovery industry is due to our personalized approach. From the time that you reach out to our intake team, we take the time to learn more about not only your history of addiction but you as a person. We want to know about your likes and your dislikes so that we can help you to grow into that person
What is Trauma Based Therapy Like?
It’s important to remember that overcoming trauma takes work and dedication. You will tackle your trauma head on through participating in different forms of therapy. For instance, one of the leading forms of therapy that you will take part in is group therapy sessions. This type of counseling will help you to interact and communicate with other clients that are working through their own treatment. Actively taking part in group therapy will not only help you to share your thoughts and experiences and heal from them, but also develop relationships with other clients that are working through their own treatment plan and build your support system.
Why Choose The Source?
The reason so many clients make the decision to come to The Source is because of the multitude of treatment plans that we offer. We recognize the fact that addiction affects every person differently. Therefore, it would be impossible for us to treat every client in the same way which is why we take the opportunity to work closely with you to help you create a program that is best for you.
For some clients, the first step in their recovery journey is working through a detox program. If you live in Indianapolis, we will be able to pair you with a detox facility that is close to you so that you can get the urgent help that you need without putting yourself in serious danger. We never recommend that you attempt to go through the detox process alone as it could be potentially deadly.
One of the choices that you will make is whether you are going to work through a partial hospitalization program or one of our outpatient programs. If you decide to work through a partial hospitalization program you will have the luxury of living in one of our incredible single family residences. We believe that by providing you with these types of accommodations, you will be able to better focus on working through and overcoming the traumas that you may have experienced in your life. Another added benefit of deciding to commit to a partial hospitalization program is that you will have around the clock access to our treatment team. Regardless of whether you feel uncomfortable after a therapy session or you simply feel like you need to talk to someone about what you’re thinking, you can take comfort in the fact that there will always be someone available to be there for you whenever you need them.
Not every client can commit to our partial hospitalization program which is the main reason why we developed two outpatient programs to suit the needs of clients that fall into this category. Whereas we require that clients complete a minimum of 25 hours of therapy in our partial hospitalization program, the hourly commitment for an intensive outpatient program is only nine hours per week whereas a general outpatient program requires a minimum of four hours in therapy per week. Either outpatient program is ideal for a person that may have full time or part time work or school responsibilities. Our team will do everything that we can to work around your work or school schedule so that you can take full advantage of our treatment plans like opioid rehab in Indianapolis.
