It’s not uncommon for an Indianapolis resident to reach out to our facility and express to us that they struggle with their addiction due to the type of environment that they live in. For instance, a person may live with family members or friends that simply don’t understand that addiction is disease and not a choice. There are several other people that get in touch with us that live within close proximity to where they purchase their substance of choice and the draw to purchase that substance is just too strong for them to resist.

If you feel as though the only way to establish and maintain your sobriety is to change the people, places and things around you, The Source Treatment Center team can help you. Our intake team works quickly and effectively to help you make plans to come to our Fort Lauderdale facility. In fact, in most cases, we can have you set up a plan for treatment in as little as 24 hours.

If you or a loved one are struggling with addiction, call The Source today.  Our treatment specialists are available 24/7 to discuss your options and help you find the perfect solution (800) 204-0418.

What Does Alcohol Rehab Consist Of?

Our alcohol rehab programs were specifically designed to help you heal from the negative impact that this substance has had on your life. Rehab programs last anywhere between 30 and 90-days with the opportunity to extend your treatment plan if necessary. If you decide to take advantage of our partial hospitalization program, you will have the opportunity to live in one of our single family residences and participate in sober friendly activities during the time that you are not in therapy. This gives you a wonderful chance to take the time that you need to focus on yourself.

First, Alcohol Detox – Then Rehab

Once you have come to peace with the fact that you’re struggling with an addiction to alcohol, the next step in the process is to reach out to a treatment center that can provide you with the immediate care that you need in the first few hours and days of your sobriety. For many people, if their alcohol addiction is severe enough, it’s probable that they will need to work through a detox program. As one of the best treatment facilities in the country, we have partnered with a multitude of detox facilities throughout the United States so that regardless of where our client is they can receive the urgent care that they need as they begin to withdraw from alcohol.

The withdrawal process is dangerous and it’s something that you should never attempt to do unless you are under the care of trained medical professionals. On average, a person will need to spend approximately seven days in a detox program with the worst of their symptoms manifesting anywhere between the first and third day of treatment. Once you near the end of your time in detox at the Indianapolis addiction center, you can begin to collaborate with our team to determine the best type of treatment program for you.

Getting to the Root of Alcohol Addiction

In order to truly overcome your addiction, it’s critical that you identify and address the root cause of your addiction. At The Source, we help you to focus on the traumas that took place in your life and the steps that you can take to help heal from them. Regardless of whether you can identify this trauma or you need assistance in doing so, our team will help to make this process less painful so that it does not retraumatize you.

Overcoming Addiction with Therapy

Part of identifying the root cause of your addiction is participating in various forms of therapy. While it’s possible that you may feel uncomfortable or awkward at different times during a therapy session, it’s imperative that you commit yourself to actively taking part in these sessions because they will truly help you to heal and work through the different facets of your addiction.

One of the main forms of therapy that you will participate in regardless of whether you enroll in our partial hospitalization program or one of our outpatient programs is group therapy. Group therapy is similar to a 12-step meeting in multiple ways. Every group therapy session is guided by a member of our team and will give you the chance to talk about different topics that are associated with addiction, recovery or sobriety. Not only will you have the chance to share your thoughts and opinions but you will also listen to the experiences of others which is something that will help you to learn more about yourself but develop your own system of support. Feeling the support of other people that are working through their own recovery program is something that can help you to feel confident in the steps that you are taking toward your own sobriety.

Another important form of therapy that you will experience during your time at our Fort Lauderdale facility is individual therapy. When a person has experienced some form of trauma, it’s possible that, for a period of time, they may not feel comfortable sharing these experiences in a group-like setting which is why we encourage our clients to take part in individual therapy. These therapy sessions are more personalized in the sense that you will speak one on one to one of our addiction therapists. Through these individualized interactions, you will be able to truly work through and overcome these painful occurrences in your life. We will also take the opportunity to review your treatment plan and determine whether or not any changes or adjustments need to be made to it.
