During the course of a woman’s life, there are several events that she may experience. Over and above being a daughter, a sister, or a friend, many women will also experience what it is like to be a mother. Through our female-only treatment program, The Source Treatment Center team helps our clients take the first steps toward living a new life without the impact of addiction. We provide you with the safe and comforting environment that you need to begin to focus on what you need to do to recover from your addiction.

Why Choose a Women’s Focused Rehab?

The scars of the past are something that is hard to deal with for any person but can be particularly challenging for a woman. For example, if you were a victim of sexual assault, it may be difficult to share your experiences in front of a man that may not understand both the physical and emotional implications of this type of event.

A women’s focused treatment plan gives you the opportunity to share your deepest and darkest traumas in an environment that helps you to feel comfortable. At The Source, we believe that true recovery begins when you address the traumas or events that may have impacted your life and your addiction. Our team helps you to do that through participation in different forms of cutting-edge therapy that will help you to overcome these instances.

Rehab for Expecting Mothers

From the moment that any woman learns that she is expecting a child, there is a certain bond that begins to form between mother and baby. When you are struggling with an addiction, it’s important that you reach out to the right team of individuals for help to ensure that you and your little one remain in good health and that you can go on to be the mother that you have always dreamt of being.

If you are pregnant and you are just beginning your recovery journey, we always recommend that you strongly consider working through our partial hospitalization program, also referred to as PHP. This option provides you with the around-the-clock care and support that you need as you begin to navigate this new change in your life.

Clients that decide to take advantage of our partial hospitalization program will participate in different forms of therapy for at least 25 hours a week. These therapeutic activities will vary according to your treatment plan. For example, group therapy and individual therapy will play focal roles in nearly every plan, however, as you progress in treatment, we will likely recommend that you also incorporate different types of trauma therapies into your program. Examples include trauma incident reduction therapy as well as rapid resolution therapy treatment. A member of our team will talk to you more about the process and benefits of these types of therapy before treatment begins.

 Rehab for Women with Children

One of the leading concerns among women who have children who reach out to The Source is the well-being of their little ones. It’s undeniable that trying to juggle being a good mother, regular family responsibility as well as trying to combat an addiction can feel like an overwhelming task. Sadly, there are many women that are suffering from addiction that feel as though they can’t address their addiction due to the fact that they need to see to their responsibilities as a mother.

This is one of the reasons why we developed our outpatient program. This program was specifically designed for clients who don’t have the flexibility to enroll in our partial hospitalization program due to personal or professional responsibilities. For mothers that decide to work through the program, you will be able to have the best of both worlds. You will need to set aside at least four hours per week to commit yourself to treatment. At least three of those hours will be participating in group therapy while at least one hour per week you will take part in individual therapy.

Benefits of a Women’s Only Program

There are multiple advantages of enrolling in a women’s only treatment program. First and foremost, you have the peace of mind of knowing that other women around you may have a better understanding of your struggles with addiction as well as the emotion that goes along with it.  When you come to a women’s only program at The Source, you never have to worry about judgment. The women that surround you, staff and fellow clients alike, have a clear understanding of what it is like to combat addiction which results in a better overall experience as you work your way through treatment.

Keep in mind that once you are done with your treatment program like a trauma based rehab, we provide you with the opportunity to enroll in our Alumni Program. Our Alumni Program gives you the chance to stay in contact with The Source team as well as other clients that have completed their respective programs. It is an excellent resource that can help you continue to grow your system of support.
