Our team will take the time to get to know you on a personal level so that we can help you to develop nothing less than the best treatment plan for you so that you can leave your addictive qualities in the past.

If you or a loved one are struggling with addiction, call The Source today.  Our treatment specialists are available 24/7 to discuss your options and help you find the perfect solution (800) 204-0418.

Our treatment team does everything that we can to make recovery accessible to every person that reaches out to us. Although we have a dedicated staff member available via phone around the clock, we realize that some of our prospective clients may not feel comfortable or may not be able to talk over the phone depending on their situation which is why we also give those that want to reach out the opportunity to chat with us through our website.

Regardless of whether you have gone through a recovery program in the past or whether this is your first time, we always caution any client that comes to The Source to keep an open mind throughout the process. There may be certain aspects of addiction that you’re not familiar with or specific thinking regarding the disease that you don’t feel comfortable with yet. Although it may take some time to transition into this way of thinking, it will only help to benefit you as you move forward with your journey toward recovery and sobriety.

What Do You Do During Rehab?

Regardless of your treatment program, the bulk of your time at our recovery center will be spent on focusing on working through the emotions associated with the events in your life that may have caused your trauma and triggered your addiction. To ensure that you begin your recovery journey on the right foot, we always recommend that you be open and honest with us from the moment that you reach out to a member of our team.

The Source staff is available around the clock to field calls from clients that are interested in coming to our facility for treatment. In most cases, we can have our clients set up with a plan for treatment within 24-hours from the time that they initially reach out to us.

It’s important to remember that before you can fully commit yourself to a treatment plan, you must first remove the influence of drugs or alcohol from your system. This is a process that should never be done unless you’re under the care of a trained medical professional. As one of the best treatment facilities in the Fort Lauderdale area, we have partnered with detox facilities around the country that cater to our clients that require detox.

The reason why detox is the first step on the road to recovery is because a detox program will help you to manage the withdrawal symptoms that you will experience during the first week of your sobriety. Within just a few hours from the last time you consumed your drug or drink of choice, you will begin to experience these symptoms. One of the dangerous aspects about withdrawal symptoms is the fact that they are unpredictable and can vary from person to person. Common examples of withdrawal symptoms can include vomiting, seizures, shakiness, anxiety or depression. It’s critical that you reach out to us as soon as you are ready to begin your treatment journey so that we can help to arrange a stay at one of the detox facilities that we have a relationship with.

When you’re ready to come to our Fort Lauderdale facility, one of the first things that we will do is perform a comprehensive physical and psychological examination. This will include running different blood work panels and taking the time to learn more about your background and history. This information will be critical when it comes to not only setting up your treatment plan but ensuring that we can address any physical or psychological issues that may present themselves while you’re under our care.

What Does the Average Day Look Like While in Rehab?

We believe that it’s imperative to adjust to a healthy schedule as soon as possible. If you decide to take advantage of our partial hospitalization program, we will require that you work with us to develop a treatment plan for the week which will include participation in certain forms of therapy. Our outpatient clients, on the other hand, will be required to come to our facility for a set number of hours per week.

Along with taking part in trauma-based therapy, you will also work closely with our team when it comes to taking part in traditional forms of therapy including one on one therapy as well as family therapy. Another critical form of counseling that will take up a bulk of your time in treatment. Addiction can make you feel as though you’re completely alone when it comes to every aspect of your life.

Inpatient Alcohol & Drug Rehab

For some clients, it’s simply not possible to successfully complete a treatment program without taking advantage of a partial hospitalization program. The reason for this may vary. For example, some of our clients live in an environment that is surrounded with other friends or family members that are struggling with their own addiction. There are several other clients who have influences from people that do not believe that addiction is a disease, therefore, they will not receive the right kind of support they need outside the confines of our Fort Lauderdale treatment facility.

A partial hospitalization program can provide you with the structure that you need to fully commit yourself to a life of sobriety. Regardless of your drug or drink of choice, you can count on our alcohol rehab in Delray beach team to provide you with the tools that you need throughout your time in our partial hospitalization program so that when you do transition to go back home you feel secure and confident in sobriety.

Outpatient Alcohol & Drug Rehab

Do you have a job or family responsibilities that prevent you from enrolling in our partial hospitalization program or our intensive outpatient program? Our general outpatient program is a perfect solution. General outpatient program clients are only required to participate in a minimum of four hours of therapy per week. Three of those hours will include group therapy and the remaining hour will be spent participating in individual therapy.

Group therapy plays a critical role in each of our treatment programs because it allows you to begin to develop relationships with other people who are in a similar situation as you when it comes to their recovery. These sessions are guided by an experienced member of our team and are meant to get you talking about your experiences. Not only will you have the chance to share but you will also listen to the experiences of other people in your group. You will quickly come to realize that you are likely not alone when it comes to your thoughts and feelings.

Keep in mind that if you have concerns about your job, our treatment team is here for you and happy to help. When you first come to The Source you will be assigned a case manager who can help you navigate communicating with your employer regarding treatment information. Remember, you don’t have to provide your employer with any more information regarding your treatment than what you feel comfortable providing, however, it can feel overwhelming trying to navigate what you should disclose which is why we’re here to help.

Intensive Outpatient Alcohol & Drug Rehab

Our intensive outpatient program is somewhat of a hybrid between our general outpatient program and our partial hospitalization program. This program is well-suited for clients that just recently completed their partial hospitalization program and are ready to continue on in their recovery journey or for clients that cannot fully commit to a partial hospitalization program but still understand that they need a higher level of care than what our general outpatient program can offer.

Clients that decide to take advantage of our intensive outpatient program will need to spend a minimum of nine hours in therapy each week. You will still participate in the same forms of therapy as our partial hospitalization program clients or our general outpatient clients, however, you will have the flexibility to return back home at the end of your sessions. If you’re considering our intensive outpatient program, we always recommend that you speak to a member of our team before you finalize your decision to ensure that you get the most value out of this program and that it works well for you based on your needs.

Partial Hospitalization Alcohol & Drug Rehab

Making the decision to commit yourself to a partial hospitalization program is a choice that could be life changing as long as you stick to your program and you’re truly ready to overcome your addiction. Clients that decide to utilize this treatment option will have the benefits of living near our facility in one of our luxurious single family residences. You can rest assured that from the moment that you walk through the door of one of these residences you will feel as though you’re walking into a home away from home.

Our partial hospitalization clients will need to participate in a minimum of 25 hours of therapy per week. During that time, you will work closely with our staff and have access to them around the clock. When you aren’t in therapy, you will have the opportunity to just relax, reflect on your day, take a walk along Fort Lauderdale beach or attend a local 12 step meeting. When you first reach out to our facility, we will provide you with more detail when it comes to what you can expect from our partial hospitalization program and your options.

Brain-Mapping or Neurofeedback Treatment for Addiction

Many people don’t realize that there are several treatment methods that we use to help address and overcome addiction. Brain-mapping or neurofeedback treatment is an example of such a method. This form of treatment is used in conjunction with other recovery techniques that we utilize at The Source. The premise behind brain-mapping or neurofeedback treatment is that there may be an issue with your brain waves that may be impacting your tendencies toward addiction. Brain-mapping or neurofeedback treatment helps to correct these brain waves so that the cravings and addictive qualities aren’t as severe.

It’s important to remember, however, that brain-mapping or neurofeedback treatment should not be your sole form of addiction recovery. At The Source, we will integrate this form of treatment into your general recovery plan while still providing you with the reassurance and guidance that you need when it comes to other aspects of your overall recovery. We can provide you with more information about this treatment option at any time.

If you or a loved one are struggling with addiction, call The Source today.  Our treatment specialists are available 24/7 to discuss your options and help you find the perfect solution (800) 204-0418.

Benefits of Family Therapy

Unfortunately, one of the sad consequences associated with an addiction to any substance is the loss of the relationships with friends or family members that you care about and that love you. As you begin to come out of the haze of addiction, you may feel eager to try to reestablish those relationships. It’s important that you do so in a way that is healthy not only for you but for your family members. For example, your loved ones may be struggling with their own issues with addiction, or they may not understand that addiction is a disease.

Before we arrange for a family therapy session, we will speak with you at length regarding the relationships that you have with your family members. It’s essential for us to know what those relationships were like before they were impacted by addiction and how they deteriorated. It’s also critical for us to know if one of your family members may not have a positive impact on your life at this time. The reason for this is that we never want to put you in a situation where you are set back as a result of interaction with family members that may not be the best influence one you at this time. It doesn’t mean that there isn’t a possibility of having a relationship with that person in the future, however, it does mean that right now it may not be the best option for you.

When you’re ready, we can begin to explore options for a family therapy session. We arrange these meetings to take place in a neutral setting to ensure that both you and your family members feel comfortable and at ease. From there, you and your loved ones can begin to talk about certain topics that will help you work through your relationship issues so that your healing and theirs can begin.

One on One Therapy

As addiction experts, we understand that many of our clients may struggle to share certain aspects of their life in a group type setting which is why individual counseling will play an important role in your overall recovery. During one-on-one therapy sessions, you will speak to a member of our team in a private setting. You will have the chance to talk more about the instances in your life that are more personal so that you can address them on your own terms.

One on one therapy is also an excellent opportunity for you to talk about your current treatment plan. For example, if you would like to talk about extending your program or you have concerns regarding how you’re progressing, we can discuss these aspects during individual counseling. Of course, if you need to talk to a member of our team before your scheduled session, we will always make ourselves available.

Types of Trauma Based Addiction Treatment Therapy for Residents of Delray Beach

At The Source, we believe that the root cause of addiction stems from experiencing some form of trauma. As a result, we utilize a variety of different trauma-based therapies to help every client that comes to The Source to overcome their addiction. When you begin to work through a treatment plan at our Fort Lauderdale facility, we will coordinate with you to discuss the different aspects of the cutting edge trauma-based therapies that we use. From there, we will speak with you at length about the trauma therapies that may benefit you and see what makes you feel comfortable.

Trauma Incident Reduction (TIR) Therapy

Any person will tell you that whether you experience a sexual, physical or psychological trauma, the event itself can be scary and cause a severe impact on the way that you approach certain aspects of your life. In many cases, this trauma may not only trigger an addiction but an undiagnosed form of post traumatic stress disorder. This is where trauma incident reduction therapy, also known as TIR can greatly improve the quality of your life.

Trauma incident reduction therapy takes place in a one-on-one type of environment. The sessions will typically take place once a week and last anywhere between an hour to an hour and a half. This form of therapy was first developed by a man named Dr. Frank A. Gerbode in the 1980s. He worked toward perfecting the TIR therapy approach so that clients didn’t feel an abundance of stress or helplessness as they began to focus on these traumatic events.

This type of therapy is open ended meaning that we will continue to monitor and evaluate the process that you make once you begin trauma incident reduction therapy. If it’s agreed by you and our staff that this form of therapy is working for you, we will continue on this path until you see the ultimate results of your work. However, if this isn’t a good fit for you, you don’t need to work as we can easily tap into other treatment options.

Rapid Resolution Therapy (RRT) Treatment

RRT, also known as Rapid Resolution Therapy, is a great short-term trauma-based therapy. Effectively utilizing this form of treatment consists of anywhere between two to six sessions, however, a client may experience more or less depending on their situation. This form of therapy can be used once the exact source of the trauma has been uncovered. From there, an experienced member of our team will work closely with you during these sessions as a way to address this trauma efficiently and quickly. The result is that instead of feeling the negative emotions that were once associated with this event, you will feel more comfortable talking about it without feeling the temptation to drink or use your drug of choice.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy

EMDR therapy is short for eye movement desensitization and reprocessing. This form of therapy is one of the latest additions to the toolbox of trauma-based therapy options. This type of counseling is performed with a trained member of our team who will guide you through different eye movements as you begin to explore possible traumas in your life. The reasoning behind these movements is for the client to become more comfortable talking about painful events. Overtime, these events will not trigger the client toward addiction so that they are better able to process them with a healthier frame of mind. Recently, celebrities such as Prince Harry have come out to talk about the positive impact that eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy has had on his life so the results of this type of therapy truly do speak for themselves.
