Did you know that an addiction to drugs is not a choice, but a disease? Sadly, there are many people that overlook this important fact. Instead, there is a common misunderstanding associated with addiction in the sense that some simply cannot understand why another person can’t just stop using their drug of choice. However, if that person comes to the realization they are suffering with this disease, professional help is available. When you make the decision to come to The Source Treatment Center in beautiful Fort Lauderdale, Florida,  you have the opportunity to work with a team of addiction experts who will be able to guide you through the process of healing and recovery.

What Is Inpatient Drug Rehab?

There are countless people that struggle with addiction who feel as though they cannot overcome their addiction because of the type of environment that they live in. For instance, if you live with a person that doesn’t understand that addiction is a disease or you live with other people that may be suffering from their own form of substance abuse, it would be seemingly impossible for you to be able to maintain your own sobriety. When you make the commitment to changing the people, places, and things around you, you will come to learn that you can, in fact, focus on your recovery and set yourself up for long-term success.

How Long Does Rehab Take?

One of the reasons why we are considered to be a top-rated facility for drug detox in Portsmouth is because we offer personalized treatment options. We recognize the fact that a person can never be put into a cookie-cutter box regarding recovery. Therefore, along with deciding whether you are going to work through one of our outpatient programs or our partial hospitalization program, you will have the opportunity to choose the length of your program.

If you or a loved one are struggling with addiction, call The Source today.  Our treatment specialists are available 24/7 to discuss your options and help you find the perfect solution (800) 204-0418.

Typically, a treatment plan can last 30, 60, or 90-days. Keep in mind, however, that at The Source you have the opportunity to extend your treatment program. For example, you may decide to begin treatment in a 30-day partial hospitalization program but then take advantage of a 60 or 90-day outpatient program. Your treatment team will consistently check in with you throughout the course of your recovery to ensure that you feel comfortable which will give you a better opportunity to maintain your sobriety.

What Is Outpatient Rehab?

An outpatient program is often a treatment option that is chosen by a person that may be working or going to school. While relapse prevention is the main focus of any treatment plan, it is particularly true when you participate in an outpatient program. Recognizing the signs that you may be struggling with your sobriety can trigger you to reach out for the help that you need in the moment instead of thinking that your only option is to turn to drugs and alcohol.

Our general outpatient program is the most flexible in comparison to the other treatment programs that we offer. You will spend a minimum of four hours per week in treatment and regularly check in with our treatment team. You will also be encouraged to participate in 12-step meetings during this time so that you can continue to grow your system of support.

IOP

An intensive outpatient program is used by many clients as a step down after an inpatient program. However, there are many other clients that opt to use an IOP as their main form of treatment from the beginning. Regardless of what you select, you will still take part in the various forms of therapy that we have to offer at The Source, however, you will only need to commit to a minimum of nine hours of treatment per week in comparison to the 25 hours that is required during a partial hospitalization program.

A partial hospitalization program gives you a unique opportunity to exclusively focus on yourself and your healing for a period of time. There are several benefits associated with making the choice to come to a new environment such as our Fort Lauderdale facility for treatment. First and foremost, by giving yourself the chance to come to a beautiful location such as The Source, you are able to take account of what you have been through during your time in active addiction. During your time at our partial hospitalization program, you will live in one of our beautiful single-family residences that are located nearby the incredible Fort Lauderdale beach. While you will spend the majority of your time in therapy, you will also have downtime either to enjoy the amenities that our property has to offer or you can opt to go to a 12-step meeting or simply relax. Another benefit of coming to our partial hospitalization program is that you will have unlimited access to our treatment team which is something that can be extremely beneficial in the first few months and weeks of your newfound sobriety.
