Opioid Addiction Treatment Center for Residents of Norfolk

Opioid addiction is a condition that is steadily growing year over year in our country. Similar to other types of addiction, opioid addiction can come in many different shapes and forms. A person may become addicted to a substance as a result of using other illegal substances which ultimately led to opioid consumption. However, a person may have also fallen into the trap of addiction as a result of an injury. They have prescribed a certain medication and developed a continuous rotation of taking a substance which resulted in addiction.

What Opioid Rehab is Like

Your experience in opioid rehab will greatly depend on the treatment program that you select. For instance, if you opt to commit to a partial hospitalization program, you will have the opportunity to live in one of our beautiful single-family residences that are within close proximity to the incredible Fort Lauderdale beach. Not only that, but you will have around-the-clock access to your recovery team which is something that can provide you with a tremendous source of support throughout your recovery journey. Clients that opt to work through a partial hospitalization program will need to spend a minimum of 25 hours per week in therapeutic care.

If you need to work or go to school full time or even part-time, you may find it all but impossible to commit to a partial hospitalization program. This is why we also offer an intensive outpatient program as well as a general outpatient program. The distinction between these two outpatient treatment options is the number of hours that you will need to commit to therapy each week. An intensive outpatient program comes with the requirement of nine hours per week in therapy whereas a general outpatient program requires a minimum of four hours in therapy. Three of those hours will be spent in group therapy with the remaining hour in individual therapy.

At The Source, you can trust us to help you develop a schedule that doesn’t make you feel as though you need to choose between your addiction recovery or the other important personal or professional responsibilities in your life.

How Long Does Rehab Last?

The length of time that you will need to spend in rehab is a personal decision that you will need to make with your recovery team. There are many people who are not completely sure whether or not they really need to commit to an opioid treatment program. Therefore, they begin their recovery using a short-term 30-day program. However, there are many other people who feel more committed to working through a 60 or 90-day program. This extended form of treatment will provide them with the level of support that they need and which is critical, especially during the first few days, weeks, and even months of your recovery journey.
