Why Choose a Women’s Focused Rehab?
There is a unique feeling of support that a woman feels from other women around her when she is trying to change her life. Women have the incredible ability to lift each other up and support them when needed. You will likely come to find that you find many kindred spirits in your group. This understanding will make it easier for you to begin to make connections with other women working through their own programs. You may realize that it is easier to communicate and interact with people in general because you are able to make these personal connections with other women in a similar situation.
When you first get to our Fort Lauderdale location, we will immediately take steps to ensure your well-being which is something that is critically important to every woman. One of the things that we do is perform a complete physical and psychological assessment. We will complete an entire blood panel to ensure that you are in good physical condition as you begin your treatment plan. Also, we will take a close look at your psychological history so that we can help you to develop a treatment plan that will help you to achieve lifelong sobriety.
Rehab for Expecting Mothers
There is a mix of emotions that come along with finding out that you are pregnant. It’s not uncommon for any woman to feel scared, nervous, and excited all at the same time. However, when you are combating addiction and you find out that you’re pregnant, any feelings of happiness may be overshadowed by the stress and chaos that you feel because you are struggling with addiction.
At The Source, we take every precaution to provide you with the care that you need during this important part of your life. If you have the flexibility, we will recommend that you work through our partial hospitalization program. This program provides you with the peace of mind of knowing that a member of our team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to help you in any way. Whether you find yourself feeling unwell or you simply need someone to talk to, you can count on The Source team is at your beck and call at any time.
Rehab for Women with Children
There are many women who mistakenly think that working through a recovery program is impossible if they have children. The reality, however, is much different. We strive to develop treatment plans for women who have children so that they can overcome their addiction while still adhering to personal or professional responsibilities.
If you cannot make the commitment to our partial hospitalization program, you may want to consider taking advantage of our intensive outpatient program. Although you will not receive the around-the-clock care that a person in our partial hospitalization program would, you will still receive a substantial amount of support throughout your treatment. For a minimum of nine hours per week, you will come to The Source and take the steps that you need to when it comes to addressing your addiction.
If nine hours a week is still too much of a commitment for you based on your situation, you can opt to enroll in our general outpatient program. Clients that decide to work through this program will participate in at least three hours of group therapy per week as well as at least one hour of individual therapy.
If you have ever attended a 12-step meeting, you will notice that a 12-step meeting and a group therapy session are very similar. During these sessions, you will have the chance to develop relationships with other women in your group through sharing your thoughts and ideas associated with a variety of topics including sobriety, addiction, and recovery. In turn, you will be asked to keep an open mind as you listen to the opinions regarding the same topics from other people that are in your group.
Of course, we realize that you may not always feel comfortable sharing certain topics in a group setting. This is why individual therapy is invaluable. During individual therapy, you will have the opportunity to meet with a member of our team in a one-on-one setting. You can go into greater details about the traumas that may have triggered your addiction and work toward developing a trauma based rehab plan that will help to deter you from relapsing.
