When you’re in the midst of addiction, you may feel as though you are falling through a black hole. Your life starts to pass you by, but you don’t feel like you have a connection to it. Things that you once took pride in no longer seem to matter. Getting ahead in your career or making new relationships with people don’t seem appealing anymore. Instead, your day revolves around thinking about the next time you can consume your drug or drink of choice or be under the influence of that substance.

The Fort Lauderdale based facility, The Source Treatment Center, prides itself on catering to clients in the Boynton Beach area that need help to overcome their addiction. We work with every client on a personal basis to develop a treatment program that sees to their individual needs. From the moment that you reach out to us, you will feel the care and the empathy that we have for every person who is struggling with addiction. During the course of your treatment plan, you will feel the encouragement that you will receive from our experienced addiction experts.

If you or a loved one are struggling with addiction, call The Source today.  Our treatment specialists are available 24/7 to discuss your options and help you find the perfect solution (800) 204-0418.

When you first reach out to us, it’s critical that you be upfront and honest about certain details regarding your drug or alcohol abuse. We need to know this information so that we know the best approach to take when it comes to helping you to overcome your addiction. We never want to make you feel uncomfortable in any way while discussing these details. For example, it’s never a good idea to begin a treatment program if you are still actively using drugs or alcohol for multiple reasons. If you are still in active addiction, we can help to arrange for you to go to one of the detox facilities that we have partnered with in your area.

Detox is a vital aspect of your recovery because it provides you with the care that you need in the first few hours and days of your sobriety. Within a few hours of the time that you stopped using drugs or alcohol, you will begin to experience certain withdrawal symptoms. Although withdrawal symptoms can vary depending on the person, in most cases, they will render you unable to take care of yourself for at least a week. When you go to one of the dedicated treatment facilities that we work with, you will receive the medical attention that you need during this stretch of time. Once you are done with detox, you can focus on coming to The Source to continue your treatment journey.

Before you begin your journey, however, something that we always caution our clients to do is to keep an open heart and mind throughout the course of your program. Regardless of whether you have received care through another treatment facility, it’s important to remember that there are certain lessons or pieces of insight that you will gain during the time that you are at our Fort Lauderdale treatment center. This information is valuable and is something that you can bring back home with you to Boynton Beach to help you to live a healthier and more successful life.

What Do You Do During Rehab?

The premise of addiction treatment is to provide you with a safe environment where you can begin to heal from the impact of addiction. Whether you decide to work through a partial hospitalization program, intensive outpatient program or general outpatient program, the bulk of your time at The Source will be spent participating in different forms of therapy.

At The Source, we believe that the root cause of addiction is based in experiencing some type of trauma in your life. When you come to our facility for treatment, we will help you to explore these sources of trauma. Whether you can identify the trauma or whether you need help, our team will work with you to help you work through your negative emotions so that that experience will not be as painful for you going forward and you can begin to feel as though you don’t need to turn to drugs or alcohol to cope.

When you initially reach out to The Source team, we can have you set up with a treatment program within 24 hours. If you have any questions or concerns, we encourage you to take full advantage of this first phone call so that we can address any of them and help you to feel more comfortable about coming to our facility for treatment.

What Does the Average Day Look Like While in Rehab?

Keep in mind that the experience that a client has when they come to our facility will be slightly different than that of another client. The reason for this is our personalized approach to recovery. When you first come to The Source, we will perform a thorough physical and psychological assessment of you. We will run a full panel of blood work and take the time to learn more about your background so that we can help you put together a treatment plan that works best for you.

Our treatment plans consist of a mix of therapy and sober friendly activities. The types of therapy that you will participate in will vary, however, group therapy, individual therapy and some form of trauma-based therapy will play important roles in your recovery plan. We will always encourage you to take part in both therapy and these activities on a regular basis. The reason for this is so that you can begin to develop a plan for adjusting back into the normal course of life when you are done with your treatment program. This is always a wonderful time to begin to explore new hobbies. Perhaps you may want to try going for a walk or a run along the beach? You may want to try your hard at some type of artwork? Maybe you want to get back into reading books that you may not have had time for during the time that you were in active addiction? You can rest assured that you will have time to learn more about yourself and your likes when you’re at The Source.

Inpatient Alcohol & Drug Rehab

At The Source, we realize that our clients come from all walks of life. While some of our clients may have a stable home life with a family or friends that provides them with the support and encouragement that they need to work on their sobriety and recovery, there are many other clients that do not have the incredible benefit.

If you feel as though you are living in an environment that is simply not conducive to recovery, we can speak with you more about our partial hospitalization program. By enrolling in this program, you will have the peace of mind of knowing that you have a safe and secure place to stay during the course of your treatment. Regardless of the length of your treatment program, you can rest assured that The Source team will be there to care for you around the clock.

Outpatient Alcohol & Drug Rehab

Do you have personal or professional responsibilities that you need to attend to on a daily basis? Have you come to the realization that you cannot overcome your addiction by yourself? Our outpatient program is the perfect solution. This program requires a minimum of four hours per week of therapy. Those four hours will consist of a minimum of three hours in group therapy and one hour in individual therapy.

One of the focuses of an outpatient program is a keen focus on relapse prevention. When you are only coming to our Fort Lauderdale facility for four hours a week, it’s critical that you do everything that you can to avoid falling into the trap of temptation. Our team will collaborate with you to learn more about your triggers so that you know what to do to avoid them or work through them if they happen to come up during the course of your day.

A way that we work with you when it comes to relapse prevention is by encouraging you to be an active participant in group therapy. Group therapy and a 12-step meeting are very similar. During the course of your treatment program and especially when you are done with it, we will encourage you to attend 12-step meetings in the area. Therefore, participating in group therapy can help you to become more familiar with the premise of a 12-step meeting.

During group therapy, you will have the chance to share your thoughts and experiences with other members of your group. Another important aspect of group therapy is listening to the opinions of others regarding the topic at hand. You will likely come to find that you have a lot in common with other members of your group which can help you begin to develop relationships with other group members and build your system of support.

Remember, our team can also help you contact your employer regarding your treatment plans. Although your treatment plans do not have to be disclosed to your employer, if any complications come up with your job as a result of your treatment plan, our case managers are trained to troubleshoot any issues to ensure that you are not stressed out by that aspect of your life during the course of your treatment.

Intensive Outpatient Alcohol & Drug Rehab

An intensive outpatient program doesn’t provide you with the around the clock care that our partial hospitalization program does, however, it does provide you with more hours of therapy than our general outpatient program. Clients that decide to participate in our intensive outpatient program will take part in a minimum of nine hours of therapy per week. This program is ideal for a number of clients. Whether you have just completed a partial hospitalization program and you want to continue to maintain your sobriety in a more structured setting. Although you will not live in one of our luxurious residential accommodations, you will still have all the support from both The Source team and other clients that you need to be able to work through the different facets of your addiction.

Partial Hospitalization Alcohol & Drug Rehab

Our partial hospitalization program, also known as PHP, provides you with continuous 24/7 care during the course of your treatment program. Regardless of whether you are struggling with drugs or alcohol, we can help you to navigate through your addiction in a more hands-on manner when you opt to work through this program.

Clients that enroll in our partial hospitalization program will need to complete a minimum of 25 hours per week of therapy. These hours will consist of a combination of group therapy, individual therapy, behavioral therapy and trauma-based therapy. When you aren’t in therapy, you can relax in one of our incredible single-family residences, take a walk along the beach or workout. If there is anything that we can do to make you feel more comfortable during this time, let us know.

If you or a loved one are struggling with addiction, call The Source today.  Our treatment specialists are available 24/7 to discuss your options and help you find the perfect solution (800) 204-0418.

Brain-Mapping or Neurofeedback Treatment for Addiction

Brain-mapping or neurofeedback treatment can provide valuable insight when it comes to the way that your brain works and processes certain things. The theory behind brain-mapping or neurofeedback is to locate certain parts of the brain where brainwave activity is shown to be problematic. By working to regular these brainwaves, you may come to find a difference in your approach to addiction and recovery.

Brain-mapping or neurofeedback treatment should not be something that you take part in in lieu of other forms of treatment. In fact, when clients exclusively rely on this form of treatment in their recovery, they are more likely to suffer a relapse. When you come to The Source, if our team decides that this could be a good treatment option for you, we will collaborate with you to determine a treatment schedule and provide you with a more detailed explanation as to what you can expect when you take part in this type of therapy.

Benefits of Family Therapy

Oftentimes, when a person is suffering with addiction, the relationships for the friends and family members that they care about falls to the wayside. When your life revolves around addiction, it’s seemingly impossible to focus on anything else. Additionally, if your loved ones realize that you are under the influence at any given time, they may not want to see you in that type of condition so they naturally pull away.

When you come to a place in your recovery where you are comfortable, we can help to arrange a family therapy session. During these sessions, you and your family will have the opportunity to take the initial steps that you need to take in order to begin to heal your relationship. You will have the chance to talk to and listen to your family about not only your addiction but the events in your life that may have led to your addiction. In turn, your family can start to talk about their feelings and emotions associated with your addiction.

It’s important to remember that these meetings will take place in a neutral setting to ensure that everyone remains comfortable. Additionally, it’s critical that you have come to a place in your addiction where you feel confident in your recovery and you are ready to listen to your family. It’s not uncommon that your family members may have some feelings that may not always make you feel comfortable so before we can coordinate a session like this, it’s essential that you be able to process understanding or empathizing with these emotions.

One on One Therapy

Similar to group therapy, one on one therapy will play a central role in your overall recovery. There are several reasons for this. First and foremost, there may be certain emotions or events in your life that you simply don’t feel comfortable sharing in a group setting. While we will always encourage you to share in group meetings, there may be traumas that are just too painful to share at times. This is why we also incorporate one on one therapy into every treatment plan.

During one on one therapy, you will meet with one of our counselors on an individual basis. You will have the opportunity to talk about a variety of topics including how you feel that you are progressing through your treatment plan. Also, we can talk to you in greater detail about the events in your life that you don’t feel comfortable speaking about in a group setting. Additionally, if there are any adjustments that you need to make to your treatment plan, we can coordinate that during individual therapy. Do you want to extend your treatment program? Do you have a concern about a certain type of counseling? Just let us know. Remember, we are here to help you make the most out of your time with us.

Types of Trauma Based Addiction Treatment Therapy for Residents of Boynton Beach

Were you a first responder? Do you find that calls that you responded to are haunting you? Perhaps you were sexually or psychologically assaulted at some point in your life and the events of that experience have caused you to turn to drugs or alcohol for comfort? Learning how to overcome these traumas can make all the difference in the world when it comes to working through your treatment program.

Although there are many people that want to dive headfirst into taking part in trauma-based therapy, it’s important that you give our team time to get to know you more so that we can identify the right forms of therapy that will be right for you. A member of our team is happy to speak to you at any time about the unique differences in the different types of trauma-based therapy that we offer at The Source.

Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR) Therapy

Traumatic incident reduction therapy, commonly referred to as TIR, is a more swift form of trauma-based therapy. It can be particularly beneficial for clients that are struggling with the effects of post traumatic stress disorder. These sessions usually last between an hour and an hour and half and take place on a weekly basis. The number of sessions that you will need will be based on the assessment of our team as well as your comfort level.

Rapid Resolution Therapy (RPT) Treatment

In comparison to eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy and traumatic incident reduction therapy, rapid resolution therapy takes place at a much faster pace. Most clients will participate in anywhere between two and six sessions of this form of treatment, however, more or less may be required depending on your needs. This type of therapy utilizes a form of hypnosis as a way to explore and identify traumatic events. This form of treatment is helpful to people that are struggling to recall traumatic events that may be greatly impacting their life and their addiction. In addition, this form of therapy will help to replace the negative thoughts and emotions that you have with more positive and happier ones.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy

One of the leading reasons why many people steer clear of dealing with the trauma is because they don’t want to go through the pain of reliving those events as they begin to talk about them. During eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy, our counselor will guide your eye movements as you begin to talk about these events. The theory behind eye movement desensitization therapy is that by helping you to focus more on your eye movements as opposed to the pain that a memory is causing you, the pain associated with that memory will begin to subside overtime. In turn, it will not be a trigger for you.

Sober Friendly Attractions Near Boynton Beach

Completing a treatment program is something that our clients look forward to due to the fact that they want to take the lessons that they learned during their treatment and put them into action in their life. We realize, however, that many of our clients want to remain in touch with other clients that have completed their own respective program. This is just one of the reasons why we developed our Alumni Program. Our Alumni Program gives you the opportunity to attend an extended monthly group meeting and take part in different sober friendly events that take place throughout the year in different parts of Florida. Whether it’s a trip to the beach or taking in a movie at a local theater, developing and maintaining these connections with other alumni is a wonderful way to maintain your sobriety.
